DC: Superman: The Official Cookbook: Recipes from Smallville to the Hall of Justice and Beyond

Bringing to life a character who’s held a place in our hearts for nearly 100 years? That’s a pretty high honor. Everyone has their Superman—the version that instantly comes to mind—and somehow, all those iconic traits blend together to make him the timeless hero we all know and love.

From the moment I took on this project, I knew I wanted to turn Superman into an edible action figure, something that’s both a toy and a treat. The essentials? The iconic curl, the cape, and of course... flight. Because really, how many times did you pretend your snacks—or you—could fly as a kid?

Enter: the fruit roll-up cape. Flexible, fun, and nostalgic, it’s the perfect detail to help these cookies soar. With the help of my brilliant lead decorator, Patricia Parrish, we brought Superman to life with his signature suit, bold “S,” confident stance, and that heroic little forehead curl, all thanks to a custom cookie template featured in the Superman cookbook!

Add in some photographic wizardry (thank you, Ted Thomas!) and a sprinkle of Photoshop magic, and voilà: you’ve got a cookie that’s ready to fly.
